Merit Badges

A big part of a Scout’s advancement beyond First Class involves merit badges but what’s the process to earn one?

  1. Choose a merit badge that interests you and/or is one that is Eagle required:  https://www.scouting.org/programs/boy-scouts/advancement-and-awards/merit-badges/
  2. Email Scoutmaster Huw or Scoutmaster Don to ask for the Merit Badge Counselor’s phone number and be sure to ask for a merit badge “electronic Blue card” to be initiated in scout book by the Scoutmasters BEFORE meeting with the Counselor.
  3. Be sure to review the requirements of the merit badge in advance and take heed of the Boy Scout Motto, “Be Prepared.”  Be sure to bring whatever you need, including paper and a pen.
