April/May Newsletter
Spring continues to bring adventure, service, and connection for our Scouts. From hiking local peaks to helping at community events, it’s been a packed and fulfilling month. Last night’s meeting was “the funnest this year!” with a unique challenge to promote teamwork. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to—and what’s coming next!
Medical Forms
As we gear up for more outdoor adventures, a friendly reminder that Annual BSA Medical Forms (Parts A, B & C) are required for all overnight trips. If your Scout plans to attend summer camp, high-adventure outings, or multi-day events, a doctor-signed Part C form is mandatory.

You can download the latest forms, and read more about what’s required here.
Blue & Gold Dinner

This year’s Blue & Gold Dinner was a fantastic celebration of Scouting spirit, family, and food! Hosted at the Log Cabin, the evening honored our Cub Scouts crossing over into Troop 15/1015. Scouts assisted with setup, meal service, and cleanup, earning praise for their helpfulness and courtesy. A special thanks to the parents and leaders who made the event possible. Welcome to our newest Scouts—we’re excited to have you on the trail with us!
Mt Tam Backpacking Trip

Our Mt. Tam backpacking trip (April 12–13) was a memorable test of grit and growth! Scouts hiked over 15 miles in two days, camping overnight at Bootjack. Despite some cool weather, spirits were high and gear was tested—a great shakedown for Northern Tier.
Highlights included:
-
Cooking with backpacking stoves
-
Navigating switchbacks and ridge views
-
Zero complaints about the elevation—okay, maybe one
Well done to all participants for embracing the challenge and showing leadership in the backcountry!

Grab your paddle and sunscreen—it’s time for the Troop 15/1015 Canoe Trip! This day trip is open to all Scouts, and is required for anyone attending Northern Tier this summer.
